College Football Fan Guide for Week 2

The ten most interesting games of the week

1. Tennessee at Pittsburgh (#16)
Like Top Gun, this sequel is a must-see. Even though part 2 takes place in Pittsburgh, we think Hendon Hooker is just the kind of Maverick needed to fly out of Heinz Field with a victory.

Sporto Prediction: Tennessee 34 - Pittsburgh 24
Saturday, Sept 10 at 2;30PM CT on ESPN

2. Baylor at BYU
Last year Baylor dominated the trenches and out-rushed the Cougars 303-67. However, this is game is Provo and should be more interesting. If you control the lines of scrimmage, who cares where the game is played. We think the wrong team is favored.

Sporto Prediction: Baylor 24 - BYU 20
Saturday, Sept 10 at 9:15 CT on ESPN

3. Alabama (#1) at Texas (#22)
Unlike a lot of programs Alabama plays, Texas has talent on campus to make this interesting. Even so, we expect the big difference to be Alabama's confidence to execute a game plan.

Sporto Prediction: Alabama 41 - Texas 17
Saturday, Sept 10 at 11:00AM CT on FOX

4. Southern Cal (#14) at Stanford
The Trojans have a favorable schedule outside of a trip to Salt Lake City. If they can win these types of games, look for them to make the Pac-12 Championship Game. The Pac-12 really needs USC to come through.

Sporto Prediction: Southern Cal 37 - Stanford 31
Saturday, Sept 10 at 6:30PM on ABC

5. Kentucky (#19) at Florida
Florida looked the part in week 1. They seem to have found a coach and a quarterback. Kentucky needs to win these types of games if they want to take the next step. Florida beat a really good Utah team in week 1 and there's no reason to bet against them again.

Sporto Prediction: Florida 27 - Kentucky 17
Saturday, Sept 10 at 6:00PM CT on ESPN

6. South Carolina vs Arkansas (#21)
South Carolina and Spencer Rattler will make some plays, but look for Arkansas to wear down the Gamecocks late and control the ball.

Sporto Prediction: Arkansas 30 - South Carolina 20
Saturday, Sept 10 at 11:00AM CT on ESPN

7. Iowa State at Iowa
Iowa State has not beaten Iowa since 2014 as Matt Campbell has yet to beat the Hawkeyes. Iowa's box score looked like a baseball game on Saturday as they scored 3,0,2,2 in four innings. This is the year Campbell finally beats Iowa.

Sporto Prediction: Iowa State 10 - Iowa 4
Thursday, Sept 1 at 6PM CT on ESPN

8. Arizona State at Oklahoma State (#11)
This is destined to be a future conference game. It will be fun to see the atmosphere and we expect the Pokes to cruise behind a big game from Spencer Sanders.

Sporto Prediction: Oklahoma State 37 - Arizona State 24
Saturday, Sept 10 at 3PM CT on BTN

9. Houston (#25) at Texas Tech
Last year Tech came from behind in Houston to give the Cougars their only loss of the season other than AAC championship game against Cincy. Houston gets their revenge this year .

Sporto Prediction: Houston 28 - Texas Tech 24
Saturday, Sept 10 at 3:00PM CT on FS1

10. Oregon State at Fresno State
Another mid-major trying to make a case they belong in the Pac-12. Oregon State looks improved in a wide open Pac-12, and Fresno will be hyped to make a statement on the field.

Sporto Prediction: Fresno State 30 - Oregon State 27
